In her travels, Susan has come across a variety of amenities she is now offering to her guests. Please see our Special Touches page for more details about those extra little embellishments.
These rooms are the first you see upon entering 40 Bay Street Bed & Breakfast. The living room contains a television for those that want to check out the weather or latest news, the guest telephone and a well-stocked library with books for every taste. There are a variety musical CDs and players should you wish to borrow them during your stay.
Breakfast is generally served in the dining room, where a variety of Susan's antique Canadiana are displayed – some found during the renovation of the house. The large dining room table and comfortable chairs ensure a relaxed meal, and have contributed to many a lively discussion.
Sun Porches
Taking advantage of the fantastic views are two sun-filled and breezy sun porches, located on both the main and upper floors of the house. Downstairs is a popular place to read the newspaper, enjoy a beverage, chat with Susan or Simon and the other guests, or just watch the incredible scenery. The upper sun porch is a quiet sanctuary with a chaise lounge; perfect to grab a few minutes for oneself, a romantic cuddle, read a book or snooze, while keeping an eye out for the boats arriving in the harbour.
